Take a stroll along the river with friends, meeting at 9.30am at the Bridge. We'll walk along the river bank to the sea and then back to the town, then head to the Waitara Lunch Bar Café for refreshments, 58 McLean St. Not keen on the walk but want to catch up? Meet us for coffee....

About the event
Join the Pride Taranaki Walking Group on the second Sunday of every month as we discover a new walkway, park, or scenic spot somewhere across Taranaki.
Each month is a little different — from coastal paths to peaceful parks — but the vibe is always the same: friendly, inclusive, and easygoing.
Our walks are around one hour, at a comfortable pace where everyone can chat, connect, and enjoy the fresh air. No pressure, no competition — just good company and a shared love of being outdoors.
And because no great walk is complete without a good kōrero afterwards, we finish with an optional coffee catch-up nearby.
Whether you come solo or bring a friend, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. 🌤️
